Ce travail fait référence à la variabilité de notre rapport au monde, entre ce que l’on voit et ce que l’on donne à voir, à ce petit mouvement qui transforme la réalité en fiction de manière si brève, si fine et si facile qu’elle en devient quelconque.

Il porte sur la modification des images publiées sur instagram, et l’usage qu’il est fait des différents filtres et du recadrage de la photo d’origine.

Ces choix perçus comme anodins ont pourtant bien comme but de soustraire et/ou révéler certaines parties d’une image comme le montre la relation entre l’image d’origine et l‘image retravaillée sur instagram placée au centre. La relation entre les deux crée une troisième image « fictionnelle » troublante.

This project is a reflection on social media, questioning the difference between what we see, what we capture in our photos and what we show and share with others. One small “Click” instantly transforms reality into fiction, so subtly and simply that it is not even noticeable.

It questions the way we modify images posted on Instagram through filters and framing. These modifications seem like innocent choices, but they actually hide or unveil parts of the picture.

This work reveals the relationship between the original image and the reworked picture. The Instagram picture is placed in the centre of the original picture, and together they form a disturbing, new, fictional image.
